clean

one more day til the "deep freeze" that is coming!

i am thankful that my little plants all have a nice snow blanket around them. i am praying for the bunnies too, and the other wildlife that are around, like my mom and dad's deer. i am like my friend kristie, and i think about our cities homeless people too, esp. when i drive downtown and see somebody walking with a pitifully thin coat, and no hat or gloves.

i want for everything to be warm and loved, all the time. but i know there is value in the frost. in the cold, we can still find warmth from an extended hand when we need it, from prayers or a kind word from people we don't even know, and from the Lord Himself when others cannot fill our need. in the cold, we HUNGER for safety and protection. we admit our vulnerability. we recognize our desire for the Lord more. and when we see His beauty (like this very pretty blue and brown photo i saw today on a gardening blog) we just sit in amazement of Creation, of perfection in the oddest places.

blessings today for everyone :)

you're right. the cold makes me
long for the sun when i normally take it for granted. a lot of analogies there.

still not sure i'll be appreciating the deep freeze when my boogers are freezing inside my nose on the way to the mailbox, but i'll try :)

um yeah. i'm sure in the grand scheme of things, boogers have their purpose too :))

he he.

The Monkey asked that booger question just last night. He decided that their purpose is to be used as weapons against bad guys. Just aim and shoot!

I can't wait for the warm sun. This cold stinks. Can hardly wait for the weekend. No good. Stay warm, get a good book and cuddle up.
