i cancelled my silly verizon cell phone on monday. the worst part about it is that i won't be able to use my pretty orange phone :-( however, the not spending $89 a month will be good. especially since i have not turned it on in months.
going to try that net 10 thing that my friend ellen recommended. i am kind of scared to buy and set up a phone online. however, tech savvy gal that i am, i'm sure it will be fine!
there is something bad about not being a cell phone owner. pretty sure i would be mocked and shunned.

Oh, crud. I cannot let anyone at my house see this post. If ever there was a cellphone hater, it's the Wonder Hub. He would so love to ditch our $100 a month bill.
You should seriously do something fun with that money.
i'm sure it's different to navigate an entire family with cell phones. but i swear, i stood in the parking lot the other day for 10 minutes waiting while carey talked on the phone, and i wondered what the h*** this world is coming to :)
Yeah, you should hang out with a text-addicted teenager for about 10 minutes. I have the phrase, "to hell in a handbasket" running on a permanent loop in my head.

I lost my cell phone (actually my mom tried tossing to my hubby and accidentally threw it in a pipe that went 6 feet deep into the ground ie. completely unretrievable) and I didn't get a new one for almost a month. I hardly missed it. I should have just cancelled it:)
I love my landline:) and it's caller id...

as for me, i am afraid i'm going in the opposite direction and getting ready to upgrade the cell phone to a blackberry. THAT deserves mocking and shunning, for sure. i do so hate technology.
Oh man, I just signed up for a Verizon phone, am I going to regret it? I did my shopping online, which I have done in the past and like that much better. I usually find better deals online. The deal I found has unlimited texting, for my friends who just CAN"T stop texting:(, and I am paying $60 a month. Also getting a cool phone much like your orange one, only it is red.
