i love babies. probably a good thing i don't have any, because i have no idea what to do with them :)
but when phillip mentioned that a co-worker from Africa was about to have his first, we both thought it might be a good idea for me to take a break from the gazillion granny square project, and whip up a blanket.
i bought the biggest, fluffiest yarn i could find, and it was absolute HELL to work with. never again. but it did come out kind of cute and yes, big and fluffy like i was hoping. since they had their baby girl yesterday, it is just the right timing, too.
now i have a million ends of big fat yarn to sew in. oh, and a box of matching confetti cupcakes to make :)
babies are good.

That is one lucky baby...the cupcakes are a cute addition, too.
I'm having a baby, too. She likes teal and brown...and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting.
