not my fault

but i accidentally "won" this on ebay this morning. to be totally honest, i bid on it BEFORE we started the spending fast :)

to be even more honest, i think i've spent more SINCE the spending fast began than i was spending before...

It's ok. Don't give yourself too much grief. The biggest part is pausing before purchasing. I like the eBay purchase. What category did you find it under?

Sincerely - your fellow eBay junkie and buying fast admirer

oh it's a crazy story...her name is erika tysse, she lives in norway...

i "met" her on ebay, and as luck would have it, ONE of the few places in the u.s. that she sells her work is SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA...so bizarre.

i met a great gallery owner (www.archivalelements.com) because of her, and this is about the 5th piece of hers i have bought. they really DO remind me of the Midwest!

i'm addicted...it's fun tho.

Hey, I just looked at that college the other day. It is so cool. She is my art hero! I am so glad you won it.

Hey! I just DROVE BY Starbucks and returned my wreath to Michael's so that the hot glue sticks wouldn't technically cost anything!!!

Back away from the internet, woman, and get back on the wagon!

Sheesh, that was harsh. Don't take the pms-ing woman too seriously, ok?

no, you are right Karen. i really sincerely DID bid on the pic before this all began. and i really seriously DID need to think about the "money out" file!

btw, congrats on the starbucks drive-bys...that has to hurt.

It occurred to me (belatedly and after a good night's sleep) that the point of this exercise is not to become legalistic, but to appreciate how much we HAVE and to joyfully give what we don't NEED to someone who does. So. Take joy in your new artwork, and thank God that he gave Erika such talent and you the ability to enjoy it.
