light 'r up
i'm not the type of person who does all of her christmas decorating at once. i'm more of a "shoot from the hip" girl who kind of, sort of decorates the whole season.
now that the leaning tree is finally done, i had a void to fill. so yesterday, when i was at hobby lobby shopping for TOTALLY NECESSARY things, i wandered down the christmas light aisle. i'd been reading about the new rage - LED lights, and i wanted to check em out.
naturally, i bought some. they looked kind of normal, although i read that they are 2-3 times brighter than regular lights! get out the shades! mine were in a really chunky looking patterned plastic bulb, i was hoping for an old fashioned new fashioned look.
anyway, here they are. i would classify them as "kind of weird." the light is just kind of wrong, although not awful (and not really super bright). the blue ones are especially funky and unnatural. maybe these are just the diet cokes of the lighting world. tastes weird at first, but, you get used to it.

so pretty bob. I love the old lights. We have a few of them too. K~
um, these are NEW lights kirst. freaky new.
so, how are you doing?
What's the price range? Hub and Bub hung one pathetically Charlie Brownish strand across the front of the house yesterday, and it just won't do. Need to shop for some TOTALLY NECESSARY things. :-)
they are more spendy. $9.99 a string, but they were $17.99 a string at target the other day when i passed em by...supposed to last way longer, kind of like the curly lightbulbs...
Hm. Think I have a Michael's coupon here, do they have them there?
sheesh, what do you think i do, shop all day?!
:)
Check out your last five posts..
:-)
believe me, the shopping is not all that is going on :)
I love "totally necessary" that will be my new phrase for just about everything: shopping,um eating, oh yeah napping, and drinking wine and lets see, procrastinating, facebook, blogging, the list could go on and on and on of totally necessary things.
I know, but I do love to tease you about it. :-)
