They took Jesus away.
Carrying his cross, Jesus went out to the place called
Skull Hill (the name in Hebrew is Golgotha),
where they crucified him, and with him
two others, one on each side, Jesus in the middle.
Pilate wrote a sign and had it placed on the cross.
It read:
jesus the nazarene
the king of the jews.

I'm constantly amazed that He did it at all, and much more so that He did it for me.
This weekend is just a constant reminder of all He did for us. I am in awe of what He went through to save people like you and me.

My daughter whispered VERY LOUDLY on the way out of church last night...Jesus died on the cross to take care of the devil, he can't hurt us now... I almost cried.
I'm in Florida at Disney World this week with my parents and little brother. As I laid out at the pool today and said a few prayers of thanks for the day, I looked up at the beautiful blue, cloudless sky and there was a plane, doing some skywriting...
"Praise Him"
"Love Jesus"
"Thank You Jesus"
... they said. Hmmm, just what I was thinking. How cool! This is one of Disney's busiest weeks of the year, so there must have been about a million others thinking the same thing. :o)

Yes. I did some praying on Easter. It was so meaningful to me this year. I couldn't seem to lose Jesus behind the Easter bunny. (Finally) What a great and awesome day. Happy Easter Everyone!
