flipping over

with a couple of inches of snow under my belt,

a new anthropologie christmas email in my inbox,

an almost finished afghan on my lap,

and one more day in a horrendously long week to make it thru,

i guess i am finally giving in to the season.
so far, so good.

Ooooooooh. Anthropology.

I'm glad you've come to terms with your destiny, friend. I am surprised that we didn't get snow pics from you, but I supposed it's hard to get up from under that afghan.

BTW--will you teach me how to cook a pumpkin? I have two here that never got carved.

funny you should mention.

i just did one this morning, have one left to do.

i read alot of stuff on the internet, and the most enery-efficient way to cook a pumpkin is the microwave.

gut the pumpkin, cut into wedges, put into a large microwaveable bowl, then put a half cup of water or so in the bottom of the bowl. microwave for 15-20 minutes until soft.

then, you can scrap the pulp off the peel, and throw the peel away. mush up the pulp (use a blender if you have to) and freeze. easy peasy...

i save the seeds, wash and dry them, add olive oil and sea salt, and bake them in a 400 degree oven until they toast.

yum-o :)

Oh, yeah baby. I am so cooking a pumpkin today. It may just push me into the realm of "productive."

Thanks for doing the labor for me, I am just about researched out for this week.
