merry merry!

happy day friends! finally, i got my wish and i am officially 'snowed in.' i woke up at 6am with all the giddy anticipation that one should feel on christmas morn...looked out the window, and saw LOTS of snow! yay! hopefully when it's light out, i can take some pics for you guys :)

i do have a turkey breast waiting to be cooked, and may even make myself a pumpkin pie if i get really ambitious. siesta and i are ready to be snowed in for the duration, though! all of our needs are met, thanks to a warm home and the peace of God that rests over the house today.

i pray that you all have a happy and blessed day. for fun, i pulled a blog pic from each month of this past year, to reflect on shared moments with you, and to thank you for your friendship, love and support! of course, i would not really enjoy being 'alone' for christmas without the connections and friendships that make me feel loved and appreciated... you guys are the goods :)

Merry Merry, Bobbi!

You have such a good attitude. Ryan is sleeping the day away at the Holiday Inn while he works nights at Sanford till Monday..so we are snug as 5 bugs in a rug, too. I feel pretty guilty feeding the kids leftovers and cookies for meals...but it's good to be in jammies all day. We did get our church service in last night, which my soul needed badly.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Merry Christmas to you to! We are having lots of wind but no mountains of snow. I had planned to make bread pudding and deviled eggs, but noticed I am short on eggs:(

Hi girls! Merry Christmas!

Rani, i think leftovers for christmas is just fine :) Lord knows, we all have plenty of opportunity to celebrate with food at other times in the season...

Cher, i went out to feed the birds (!) and actually almost fell down in about 1 1/2 feet of snow by the door...i spilled all the bird seed, and just laughed at how silly i must have looked (yes, i was in my "life is good" pjs)! he he. staying in for the forseeable future :)

it's blowing here quite abit, still snowing lightly. crazy fun!

Hi Bobbi
I've been following the storm of "aught nine" from the comfort of the 50 degree weather here. There is a chill in the air, but it really doesn't seem right to have this nice of weather on Christmas.
I'm not a frequent commenter, but your blog is one of the highlites of my computer time. I hope that you do enjoy this day-one that's a celebration, with or without a houseful
Merry, Merry Christmas

Lis! merry christmas! i have to admit, 50 degrees is kind of harder to deal with = i guess we are kind of born to WANT a storm every once in awhile when we're from the midwest, huh?

i hope you are having a great christmas! i am knitting with real wool :)

What a sweet post, Bobbi. Thanks for sharing a look back at your year. Isn't it amazing how quickly a year goes by, but how much we can learn and experience in that time?

And on a totally unrelated note, I love the font you used for the headings. I've been looking for something like that for one of my projects. Mind sharing the name? ;)

actually, i found the font i used here recently...free! it's a whole family of fonts, this is the display version...but it's very light and readable.
