for karen

perhaps these will counterbalance the rocks :)

contents:
the largest freakiest cherry tomatoes in the world, which may in fact be dwarf regular tomatoes. not sure.
the largest romas in the world. which is good.
the pinkest cutest heirloom in the world.
one lone regular tomato. very unstunning in relation to all the others.

:) grow tomatoes, people. that's all i've got to say.

That will only counterbalance the rocks if you BRING THEM OVER HERE!!!

My back is seriously killing me. E and I dug 80 feet of flower border trenches today after shoveling, hauling and spreading 2ish tons of rock last night.

I made the pasta salad. It was pretty yummy while it was warmish, will have to get back to you once it chills. I have to say that the zuch was a brilliant addition. I used tri-color rotini, black olive, red bell pepper, broccoli, zuch and will have a dish of red onion on the side. Ken's Steakhouse Northern Italian with Romano is my dressing.

Even so, Sue's banana bread is going to have a much better showing, I'm willing to bet.

So...the WH delivered the food while I visited, and an hour later when I finally got around to eating I saw my large Tupperware bowl full of pasta salad sitting on a table in the back. NOT A SOUL ATE IT. To top it all off, I have a thing about food that sits out for hours and hours...so I brought it home and threw it out.

The banana bread, on the other hand. TM confessed that he ate just over half the loaf, and the WH confessed that he ate the rest.

haarg.

I cry 'no fair'. I'm getting yellow pear tomatoes this year and that's it. This makes year 2 in a row of tomato disasters. The mud in the farm garden is so...well, muddy, that all of my sauce tomato plants have fallen over and as long as it stays muddy they won't stand up. I think they are goners. :( I can't even get out to check because it's nearly impossible to walk in the mud (think 'swamp that will swallow you whole').

karen. okay, maybe pasta salad is only 'good' because it's easy. i made zucchini bread yesterday, and that is GOOD. ;)
